Generally, one would associate a concept, an idea or innovation with a new gadget or mechanical tool. We stress that concepts can be also in the realm of pure mathematics, pure arts.. even travel tips and have especially precious value when they are geared towards social change for the better or eradication of hunger, curbing of wastage or reduction in use of resources. For example: concepts towards changing the mindset of peoples re their inherent distrust / fear / even hatred of people 'no more

Car tank fill - Average Consumption-Posted By: Th D

Does anyone want to test this ... ?

If you have been filling your car tank on tank empty, change this to filling when the level is over half full.

Monitor the consumption (mileage).

My contention is that you will get far better mileage when your tank is fuller. The more often you fill your tank, the lower the consumption

Contention is that a higher suction pressure will result in a marginally higher discharge (injection) pressure and better combustion.

Even if there is a regulator, it has to work efficiently and efficiency will be tested more if the discharge pressure is not always above the regulator set pressure for all volume requirements.

There are many other factors that govern or contribute towards fuel economy. However, I get your point. All things being equal such as tyre pressure, wheel balancing and weight distribution, not to forget the traffic conditions, you may have a point as most fuel pumps are not classically regulated. The regulator could be more of an over-pressure relief.
